Meet the Author
Kalif Price
Kalif Price is an author, poet, actor, playwright, father, and educator whose work is rooted in storytelling, culture, and youth empowerment. He holds a BA in Community and Youth Development and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and has dedicated his life to uplifting young people through education, mentorship, and the arts.
He has written, published, and produced internationally recognized children’s books, plays, and poems, including the stage adaptation of his book Maasai Boy: Heart of a Warrior. That work led to a sponsored journey to Kenya and Tanzania, where he supported education and literacy among Maasai youth—including girls—while promoting lion stewardship and the preservation of Maasai culture and traditions.
Kalif is the creator of The Lion’s Path, a mentorship and storytelling approach that encourages young people to discover their identity, walk with purpose, and lead with courage. His books and programs center on cultural pride, representation, social-emotional learning, and the power of community—guiding youth to recognize their gifts and use their voices to create positive change.
At the heart of his work is a deep belief in the importance of telling our stories and preserving our truths. In a time when many voices and histories are being overlooked or erased, Kalif is committed to helping young people—and families—stay connected to who they are, where they come from, and who they are becoming.
Through his writing, mentorship, and community work, he inspires youth to stand strong, families to grow closer, and communities to rise together.
