Getting a Free Adobe PhotoShop Tutorial

January 22nd, 2010

Posted by admin in photoshop tutorials | No Comments »

In the world today, almost nothing is free. Even oxygen is being sold in bars. It is quite comforting, therefore, to find out that you can still get the gift of knowledge without having to pull out your wallet. Getting a free Adobe PhotoShop tutorial is equal to getting a very precious gift when it’s not even your birthday.

Did you know that a lot of companies today are hiring people with knowledge in Adobe PhotoShop? This is because of the fact that PhotoShop is the most widely used image manipulation program today. This means that getting a freeĀ  PhotoShop tutorial will help you avoid the problem that most people are facing today: unemployment. Because of free tutorials, you would be able to increase your chances of being hired. And it won’t even cost you a dime!

There are many ways through which you can obtain a free tutorial. The first way actually comes automatically when you buy the program. Adobe PhotoShop actually comes with a free tutorial.

This means that you don’t really have to look farther than your own computer to obtain a free Adobe PhotoShop tutorial. There is, however, a problem with this type of free Adobe PhotoShop tutorial. Some people find it boring and hard to understand. This is because the basic free Adobe PhotoShop tutorial comes in the form of a text file. This means you have to read about what you should do and then find out how to apply what you read.

Another source of free PhotoShop tutorials is the Internet. Users write most free tutorials being offered in various websites who have managed to decipher the basic tutorial and who now wish to share their knowledge to other people.

The problem with this is that most tutorials are focused on something cool that the user has learned how to do. It is hard to find an online manual explaining every detail of how the program works. Unless, of course, you check out Adobe’s website, which brings you back to square one.

You should also try to find interactive or video tutorials. This is because these types of free Adobe PhotoShop tutorials can show you how to do stuff, not just tell you. You would be able to grasp concepts much easier and much faster.

This is because the medium of instruction allows you to actually see how the instructions would be translated into actions. However, one disadvantage of this is the fact that you will not be able to find answers to questions that the creator of the tutorial wasn’t able to anticipate.

An alternative to this is you could also ask someone who knows how to work the program to teach you how to use it. This way, you would get a free Adobe PhotoShop tutorial from a source that you can trust. You would be able to ask questions about certain procedures that you cannot understand. This way, the entire learning process would be more productive for you.

As you can see, there are many things that you can do in order to get free Adobe PhotoShop tutorials. Just because you do not have money does not mean you are out of resources. Use everything that you can and you will be able to find the free Adobe PhotoShop tutorial that you need.

The author has been involved in web designing and web development and has great experience in it and understands how important PhotoShop Tutorials can be in making it big in web designing. Making Picture Changes – Getting Help With A Photo Shop Tutorial Effect

January 17th, 2010

Posted by admin in photo shop | No Comments »

While a picture speaks a thousand words, those words tend to have one main meaning – with the possible exception of the still-mysterious Mona Lisa. But what if you had the chance to change those words? Are you interested in having that chance? If so, all you need to do is get help with a photo shop tutorial on effects.

Adobe Photo Shop today is the world’s leading digital imaging software program, and it allows users to edit their pictures with an amazing array of tools.

Tone – With just a click of your mouse, you can immediately turn your 100% colored photo into a black and white picture to make it seem older. You can also choose to give it a sepia look for a similarly quaint but more artistic impact.

Text – With the help of an Adobe Photo Shop tutorial on effects, you can also add cute text or captions to and within your photos. Unlike older programs which require you to copy and paste text with white backgrounds, Adobe Photo Shop has a transparent background so that only the very shapes of the letters are pasted on your photo. With this option, the text you’re adding will be made a part of the very photo.

Selection – Sometimes, you wish to create an effect on only one part of the photo. Adobe Photo Shop anticipates this need, and even better, lets you choose the shape of your selected part. When you’ve selected which part of the photo you wish to edit, all subsequent changes will then take effect on that part alone. It’s as easy and simple as that!

Mosaic – Remember your old art lessons in primary school and you had to create a mosaic project? Well, how about doing a mosaic version of your photo? It seems to require harder work with only your keyboard and mouse, but think again. Thanks to Adobe Photo Shop, you can create your own mosaic with just a click and even choose the cell size for your photo.

Blur – Faded patches in a photo are interesting, and you can intentionally make such patches on your photo if there are none to begin with. Under the same category of tools – Filter – in which you’ll also find other effect options like Mosaic and Pointillize, you can use the Blur option and apply it to a selected part of your photo or all of it. Keep pressing the Blur button until you reach your preferred degree of blurriness.

Color Pencil – Have you ever imagined what your photo would look like if it had been drawn using colored pencils? Imagine no more with the help of Adobe Photo Shop. Under the colored pencil function (still in the Filter category), you can also choose the degree of stroke pressure, paper brightness, and pencil width applied to your photo.

Neon Glow – Do you want your photo to outshine everything else in its vicinity? You can literally achieve that with the neon effects of Adobe Photo Shop. Once more, it can be a part of or the whole photo that could be changed with this option. The impact of this function can be modified according to neon color, glow, and brightness.

There are many other effects that Adobe Photo Shop can provide you and to change your photo, but self-study and self-exploration won’t get you anywhere fast anytime soon. If you want to learn now, find the best Photo Shop tutorial in the Internet and start watching.

Elements To Look For In A Free Photo Shop Tutorial

January 2nd, 2010

Posted by admin in photo shop training | No Comments »

After purchasing Photo Shop software, it is but natural to be excited to learn more about how you can take advantage of this popular graphic editor. Despite the availability of a basic tutorial on the mechanics of using Photo Shop in the CD software, you most likely would want to have more advanced and technical understanding of the product. After seeing enhanced pictures and creative crafts made by such software on the Internet or from the collection of your friends and family, you will probably want to immediately be able to have the necessary skills to do more advanced media formats and digital files using that software.

You really do not have to spend a penny for a more in-depth Photo Shop tutorial. There are many websites on the Internet that provides several downloadable files that will help teach you the nitty-gritty of the software. However, it can be a daunting task to check each and every website that you encounter on the Net that has a free tutorial for the said software.

Moreover, not all existing information on the World Wide Web is reliable. You might find some website that are wanting and does not provide appropriate data. Therefore, you need to check the files that you are going to download and use. Below are some important things you need to know in choosing the suitable photo shop tutorial for you:

Check the source

As mentioned earlier, not all data that is available on the World Wide Web is reliable. Thus, you must carefully check the source that you are going to use. Although you are not paying anything for the tutorial, you would not want to waste time and resources in downloading files that are not complete and correct. Thus, you will save much time if you check the source first and the credibility of the website that you are going to use to learn more about how to fully take advantage of the graphic editor tool you just bought.

Easy to understand

If the free Photo Shop tutorial that you find on the World Wide Web uses computer or technical jargon, you might not able to learn much from it, especially if your knowledge on computers and the software is just limited. It is wise to stick to tutorials that use conversational tones and easy to understand vocabulary. Moreover, a document or lesson that is too technical might sound boring.

Suitable to your knowledge level of the product

It is best to start your tutorial from the very basic to the more advanced. Start looking for a document that teaches you the fundamentals of the software first, before you go on more technical and complicated matters. On the other hand, if you already have a good grasp of Photo Shop, it would be just a waste of time if you still undergo the basic training.

For those who have specific problems or would want to know about certain topics, you will find some websites that provide tutorial per action or topic. For example, if you want to learn more about retouching photographs, you could just access the files that are about how to use retouch tools.

Provides examples or screen shots

For people who do not know computer terms, it would better if the free Photo Shop tutorial that they will use have screen shots that will help learners of the software what icons they need access and where it is located.
