Photoshop CS3 has introduced advanced alignment and blending options that are especially useful in scenarios where the user has a taken a series of unsuccessful shots of the same spot or while trying to create a panoramic picture. The advanced alignment and blending functionality of Photoshop CS3 carefully analyzes the stack of pictures, finds out objects that are permanent after moving and rotating them to find out the overlapping parts, checks if any of the objects are hidden partially or completely in any of the pictures and borrows pixels from the other series of pictures to create one single complete accurate picture. The software also provides “fuzziness” sliders that allow the user to delete objects if they are below a specific percentage in the stack of images. Finally, the automatic layer blending option provides an appropriate color and tone for the final picture. Photoshop CS3 has come up with smart, non-destructive filters that allow the user to continuously re-edit an image using filters and effects while saving each layer.
