Know How To Use Photoshop Secrets Special FX – Basic Knowledge Of Using Photoshop

July 6th, 2011

Posted by admin in photoshop | Comments Off

The next in line is a list of four tools that provide ways for the user to fix problems in images. The Spot Healing Brush tool first appeared in Adobe Elements 3. It was implemented into Adobe Photoshop CS2 after that. This tool allows you to fix areas of an image by replacing or blending the colors in an area so that it is like growing a new piece of skin over a bad rash. The Healing Brush tool allows you to fix problems in the image by sampling the surrounding area around the problem and trying to replicate the pattern in the area that is problematic. The patch tool is pretty much a mix of the Healing Brush and the Lasso tool. It is allows you to highlight the area that is scratched or empty and sample the surrounding area to fix the problem. Lastly, the Redeye tool allows you to select the common problem of red eyes and correct them with sampling a piece of the black pupil area and replacing the red eye with the natural pupil color. This is a widely used tool by many consumers.

The History brush tool and the Art History brush tool are unique and sometimes overlooked. You can use the History Brush tool to restore the original image in only just section or part of an image. It is usually used when you take a color picture to black and white and then convert a part of it back to color. It’s kind of like finding a dusty painting and then wiping it off to see the beauty that it holds underneath. It is a true treasure for the graphic designer or photographer that uses Adobe software product regularly. The Art History Brush tool allows you to copy the texture of an image through the use of art specific styles. Unlike the History Brush tool the Art History Brush tool takes the data from the image and creates something new out of it. It allows you to put a different style of art to an image without it losing its originality.

The following set of tools previously were found in another section of Adobe Photoshop, but are now offered conveniently on the left side of the menu. All three of these do pretty much what they say they do. I will still give you a brief explanation of their capabilities though. The first of them is the Blur tool. The Blur tool blurs the area where you paint. The Sharpen tool increases the contrast in the areas you paint. The Smudge tool blends the pixels where you paint. This is similar to when you drag something through wet paint that has various colors.

The next tools are the Type tools. They specifically describe the Horizontal Type tool and the Vertical Type tool. These pertain to the angle that you are able to write in (Horizontal or Vertical). Unfortunately, when you use this you must turn it into a bitmap and that makes it non-editable after you are finished. The Horizontal and Vertical Type Mask tool allows you to write with text that is filled with a patter or an image as the font color. It can be a nice addition if you are writing against an odd background.

Below these more popular features are some cool features that you may or may not find interesting. I believe these have been in all the Adobe CS releases, but I am not sure about the Macromedia MX series. The first up is the Notes tool that allows you to add small notes to your images in the background. Also there is an Audio Annotation tool that allows you to add verbal notes to an image.

I forgot to mention that each of these features has its sub-features displayed at the top of the program when you click on them. You have probably noticed by now though. By now you have gained enough knowledge of the Adobe Photoshop CS3 basic features to jump in and start creating your own stuff. You will be able to find further information on each of these features in use with illustrations soon. I can tell you this because I am writing them right now. I believe the visitor will take from you if they can look at one person and know what type of information he is giving rather than it coming from a million different people that may or may not know how to effectively write information to people. Please check back often to view further updates to the website and even more great tutorials in various disciplines in Adobe Software.

Basic Knowledge of Using Photoshop with The Photoshop Secrets Special FX

If you already have more than a basic knowledge of using Photoshop you can take a look at the Photoshop Secrets Special FX. It’s a tutorial CDROM with 19 lessons that are packed into 2 hours that will teach you exactly how to use the special cutting edge effects that the advance Photoshop users’ use. Photoshopsupport.com features the best and latest Photoshop graphic tutorials for free. It also offers tips and tricks for beginners as well as advanced Photoshop users. It’s like a site where your fellow Photoshop users can meet and share all the cool stuff and tricks they’ve discovered while using Photoshop. On this site you also get links to upgrades and guides as to what upgrades suit what you want to get out of Photoshop. You will totally benefit from this awesome resource. Other sites like Adobe.com and CBTcafe.com (Computer Based Training Cafe) have detailed tutorials for the babes to Photoshop use. There are tutorials with easy to follow written instructions and visual examples, so you see and understand how everything should be done.

If you try to learn Photoshop yourself, a trial and error method of learning will allow you to become pretty good at a few fundamental techniques. But you’ll never begin to imagine the unlimited potential of Photoshop CS2 until you sign up for Photoshop training. If you deal with images or graphics of any type in your work or in your favorite hobby, Photoshop training can help you reach your full potential. Adobe says that Photoshop CS3 Extended is ideal for film and video professionals, professionals in the manufacturing industry, medical professionals, architects and engineers, and scientific researchers. Photoshop CS3 lets professionals render 3D images and incorporate them in 2D composites. When CS2 came out, professional and novices alike were thrilled with the new Font Preview capability.

To begin, open your Photoshop program, then hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift in Windows or Command-Option-Shift for Mac OS. This restores the default preferences. Click on “Yes,” which resets, and then close the screen. Open an image file inside Photoshop, then make a duplicate layer to work on. This is one of the best habits you can develop for working with Photoshop; once you’re used to editing only on a copy of the original, you will see that it’s easy and worth it. SHARPENING. From your top menu, click “Filter,” then “Sharpen.” Normally, the “Sharpen Edges” function, judiciously applied, will be all you need to bring clarity to your photo. There is an unlimited cornucopia of enhancement options for the well-versed Photoshop user. The very basic steps above will get you started.

Strike a balance The Gradient Editor automatically places a midpoint between each colour stop to create a smooth linear blend between colours. You can tweak the effect of this blend by moving the midpoint to offset the mix between the colours. Using this technique you can create tight, dramatic blends between colours instead of gradual ones. The opacity stops run along the top of the preview bar. A black opacity stop indicates 100% solid, a white opacity stop indicates that that part of the gradient is 100% transparent and grey stops indicate values in between.

By dragging the bottom layer’s white slider to the left, its lightest colors appear over the image. If you drag the “black” slider to the right, the darkest colors disappear and the image below appears. Dragging the underneath layer’s black slider will bring out the darkest colors from the bottom image. To merge your blended layers when you’re finished, so that any further styling will be applied equally, click Layer in your top menu, then either Merge Down, Merge Group, Merge Visible or Flatten Image. If you’re the kind of person who loves to learn and master a subject of interest, try out all the various permutations available in your Layer Style box’s Advanced Blending palette, under “knockout.” Right away, you’ll see how useful the three options in the Knockout menu itself can be: None, Shallow or Deep. Below that is a list of options providing even more precise blending for the perfectionist in you.

Indeed, Adobe’s online push has as much to do with consumers’ expectations as encroaching competition from Google, said Peter O’Kelly, an analyst at Burton Group.”From a digital-media consumer experience, Adobe really needs, for competitive and customer value reasons, to be the end-to-end products and services supplier,” O’Kelly said. “It doesn’t portend well if Adobe can’t get on top of it.” The latest version of Google’s Picasa, which is a desktop application, introduces features to post photos on the Web. It also allows people to read Photoshop files, O’Kelly noted. Showdown with Picasa? Chizen said that although hosted Photoshop is meant to be a low-end product, the company intends to ensure that it is of a higher quality than free alternatives. As an online image-editing application, Adobe faces a challenge in providing a good experience for customers, he added.

When you want to add an adjustment layer quickly, the best way to do it is to click on the shortcut option that is located at the foot of the Layers palette. You can also go to the Layer>New Adjustment Layer in the main menu. If you use the Lasso Tool when making a selection on your original layer, any adjustment layers you design will only affect the selected area. A mask protects the unselected parts of an image on each new adjustment layer. You can build your image adjustments effectively and slowly if you combine the effects of multiple adjustment layers. You also have the option of turning them off and on when you are ready to fine-tune the overall effect. Use the thumbnail icons to quickly identify your adjustment layers. These thumbnail icons are attached to the corresponding layer and they are labeled so you can see which layer applies which effect. Photoshop For Newbie Tips

Learn The Different Image Editing Tips and Tricks Through Basic Section of Adobe Photoshop Tutorials – Learn Photoshop Like A Pro

June 30th, 2011

Posted by admin in photoshop | Comments Off

This is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. It’s a totally unique step-by-step video training system, designed to make any newbie user completely confident with Photoshop in record time. Just 2 hours from now you’ll be able to produce your own graphics quickly, easily and completely stress free! When looking at editing software, you might ask yourself what is the difference between Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator? Both programs are made by the same company and many say that the differences are small. The difference lies in the building blocks, Adobe Illustrator actually takes key elements of Adobe Photoshop and builds upon them taking them to the next level.

Adobe’s Photoshop is perhaps one of the most widely recognized and used programs by digital photographers today. This program has plenty of tips and tutorials available making it an easy program to learn and use. Photoshop can transform any image into a polished and professional looking photograph. You can add borders and enhance pictures to a level that no digital camera could capture. With Photoshop you can make almost anything possible to do with a photograph, reality.

Adobe’s Illustrator by definition is a completely different program altogether. A vector based program, Illustrator enables you to create your own unique graphics. These graphics can be used in almost any medium, from print, to online, video and even your cell phone. Adobe Illustrator can do what Photoshop cannot do alone.

Both programs are vastly talked about on the web. You will find a huge array of photoshop tutorials and illustrator tutorials, illustrator and photoshop tips. Forums, chat rooms, and discussion groups that focus on both programs are also abundant on the web. Once you start looking, you’ll find more and more information on adobe photoshop and adobe illustrator.

Drawing and vector art tools can be found on Photoshop, but these tools and their capabilities are nothing in comparison to those on Adobe Illustrator. A wide variety of templates are offered to help you get a project started and a number of different drawing tools are at hand to help you create your own personal artworks and graphics with Illustrator. While you can create unique graphics with Photoshop, you must start with a base image and your tools to work with are limited in comparison to Adobe Illustrator. For those in the professional field such as graphic design, the best choice would be Adobe Illustrator. However, for those with smaller drawing needs, Photoshop will work just as well.

Many Photoshop tutorials do not cover Photoshop drawing in great detail, so look for those tutorials specific to drawing for the best information. The same goes for Photoshop tip pages. It is seldom that you will find large amounts of information on drawing and vector art tools. But to make your digital images perfect, Photoshop is the program for you with plenty of information available. With the abundance of info on the subject, you won’t be able to stop form touching up every photo you take.

Adobe Illustrator is a different program. Whereas Photoshop adds a new look to an existing image, Illustrator can create a brand new unique image. Adobe Illustrator is one of the best and user friendly programs you can use for graphic design. The software is relatively easy and with the large number of tips and tutorials to be found online, Illustrator is extremely popular.

Nothing says that you can’t work with both programs to create a polished version of an existing image or a brand new image itself. With both programs sharing some basic features, by learning one you are a step ahead on the other automatically. Both Photoshop and Illustrator will produce stunning, quality and professional images that have never been seen before. If you have need for both programs, become familiar with both to cover every need. Opt for Photoshop for your digital imaging needs and Illustrator for your graphic design needs. With the differences between the two programs, you may realistically find the need for both.

Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are sure to make great additions to your software collection. Both the graphic designer and the digital photographer will find many uses within these programs and no matter the project, both can deliver the most sophisticated images. Mastering these programs is easy thanks to all of the tips and tutorials found online for both Photoshop and Illustrator. The more you learn and experiment with these programs and their capabilities, the more you will expand on your own creativity.

Some Tips For If You Are Starting A New Freelance Web Design Project.

September 20th, 2010

Posted by Martina Nabruscha in web design | Comments Off

If you are a web designer there are a number of things that you will need to take into consideration when starting a new project. One of the first steps you must take once you have been chosen to design a client’s website is to do some proper research. Research will allow you to get a good understanding of the industry your client is in. Unless you have worked in their industry before, you need to make sure that you know what they do, why they do it and who their competitors are. Once you have a good idea of the industry then you will more easily be able to determine what they and any potential users of their website will be looking for.

At the start of any project it is worth assigning some time and more importantly some of the budget towards some sort of research. This can range from complex market analysis and customer surveys, focus groups or competitor analysis, or this can be as simple as just viewing a few competitors’ websites. However it is important that this research is carried out to ensure that you have a good idea of where the project is going and how to show your client off with the best possible website.

Once you have determined the client’s and user’s needs for the site then you can start coming up with ideas for the site. It is always difficult to try and come up with the perfect idea first time, so be prepared to have to dismiss some ideas and work on others until they work out or have to be put to one side if they are not right. Brainstorming is a good way to get lots of ideas out and come up with concepts from where to start the development process. Often the web design process will be driven by the content of the site. A traditional news site may require a standard web interface, with navigation and content areas where users are used to them. If you are designing a unique website for another purpose then you may have a freedom to experiment with different designs and interfaces that will enhance the website.

Once you have decided on the general design of the site then the next thing to consider is the technical side of the website. As a freelance web designer you will have to think about budget and time constraints but the main thing to consider is the underlying structure of the site. This will determine what software you will need to use to build the site and make it function. There are three main platforms that you can choose from these are Basic HTML, a Content Management System (CMS) or Flash.

Flash sites are developed using Adobe Flash. They work well when you are thinking of using a lot of multimedia rich or animated sites. They can look really great and the layout can be relatively easy however development can take a long time to complete. Basic HTML allows for very quick development times and can mean you can edit each page of the site to give you a great deal of flexibility. Despite the ease of initial development this platform may mean a lot of ongoing maintenance of the site once live, and can be difficult for non-developers to understand. CMS can be developed from scratch or can be purchased off the self. It is also possible to use sites such as WordPress and Blogger to get a free online CMS that can be developed for your clients needs. These platforms are good in that they can allow the designer to have control over the design of the site but the client can then easily add content and look after the site once it is live. As a freelance web developer you have a lot of different choices to make during the development.

Once you have decided on a basic design and platform for the project then it is useful to get all the ideas down on paper so you can discuss them fully with your clients. It is helpful if you can discuss each section of the site and what will be on each page and discuss the types of features on the site such as comments, social networking, video, newsletter sign-up and any other types of functionality. If you can present these things to the client then it will not only give you chance to get your ideas straight in your own head but will also give them chance to make alterations as they see if and add or alter sections if they need to.

Presenting to your client early on in the project can help to get agreement for your design and would help to get any objections or differences of opinion out in the open so you can make any changes needed to your design. If your clients and you have a good idea of the requirements of the site then you can discuss the overall site budget and the timescale that is reasonable for you to produce the site in. Deciding on a budget here will make sure that there are fewer additional fees later in the project and hopefully you can get on with the project and provide your client with the best possible design for them.

At People per hour you can find a freelancer to help with your web design projects. There you can also find other rentacoder job opportunities.
