Adobe Photoshop – Graphic Design and Photo Editing Tips

I just bought an Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and I know nothing about it. I need it for photo-editing for my website. Can somebody please give me tutorials or links to tutorials to good and very basic tutorials.
I need to know:
1.) How to put text on pictures?

I’m desperate. Help me PLEASE!
