I’ve Got CS4 when it says convert to bitmap and then i press it it only says ‘Flatten All Layers?’

when you hold shift it goes in a straight line
personaly i woulda kept the stool
I dont get it !! when I go to do a bit map my duplicated layer just shrinks !! anyone got any Idea’s as to where i’m going wrong?
holding shift down doesn’t do anything when i use the eraser tool. Is there some setting i have to tweak to set that?

hii when i did al the pixely stuff and i want to duplicat it back to the first set of layers i get the picture zoomed in could you please help me?
he had a plain blue layer beneath the dude and he erased the background on the top layer
