I like technical editing and graphic design. How do I combine them as a career?

I like technical editing (not so much writing) and graphic design. I would like tho how I could combine them as a career. Could a production editor be the title for this?

Please help me clarify this guys!

    One way to promote yourself in that field is to develope a portfolio. If you are a graphic designer or illustrator, you could advertise yourself a s such. A Production Editor is not what you should call yourself until after you land a job with that title.

    Ask by e-mail or “snail mail” or telephone–better yet–
    in person at a School or University Career Guidance Counselling
    Office.
    That’s their job to have current knowledge and information about such as you’re asking here.
    Some Public Libraries have books, dvd’s, etc. about this, too.
    Need help finding what you’re looking for?
    Ask the Reference Librarian to help you find pertinent reference materials.
    Do you have a state University? (or more than one?–better yet.)
    Find their websites and read and e-mail and ask about their
    Department of Radio, TV, and Film. (RTF)
