@alexskylarking Thank you! Yeah, I read your post again and you were in my defense over the previous comment. My last sentence was snarky. I would like to learn that tapestry tea bag thing though…

@williamfridrich iPad? Man that is so Mid 2010, lol. You need to get with the times… We are using our kettles to pour our work to clients via our tapestry of tea bags! If you re-read my post I was actually sticking up for you on the fact that you were doing as you knew how and probably have been doing for while.

@alexskylarking Hey, I do scan designs now and I email them from my iPad. The point I was making is that the ideas are fluid and little effort has been spent in the communication so that the value of the idea is not skewed by the amount of work that went into it. If thinking through an idea is “old school” then so be it!

skivvy…skivvy…skiv skiv skivvy. Designers wear skivvies. skiv.skiv.skivvies.

  9. Tyko99 Says:

    Fax in 2009?

  10. alexskylarking Says:

Fax it? Surely you would scan it in as a bitmap line drawing and send it over via email as a PDF….

Its obvious that this guy is just old school and thats the way he is used to doing it….

  11. threestarnight Says:

really?! everyplace i’ve ever worked just uses pdfs and email. interesting to know.

  12. RecGuitar Says:

faxes are still used… idk where you come from but in my old job I had to fax all the time

  13. threestarnight Says:

may, 2009?!?! are you serious?! no one works this way any more. faxes? really?

  14. PinkLederhosen Says:

You are right. You can’t get to square one until you come to agreement with the client on requirements. I like the idea of a mock up and fax.

Perhaps it’s for a Chinese market?

  16. LadyAibrean Says:

Why don’t they ask someone that actually does design? He said he doesn’t do it. This is the viewpoint from like a VP/creative director.
