I caught this show on my television and absolutely love it. I wish it was on more often. I tivo-ed it and figured I’d share it with others. If you want to learn more about taking great photography, this is the show. This one is about shooting with contrasting skin tones.

@jessmk94 im not a pro photographer, but i know a couple pros, and ive been reading a lot. if you want to be a professional without school, then you need another career first. lol. that way, you can pay for your photography equipment until you get good enough to make that your only career. check out Dom Bower on youtube. he talks about some of what it takes to be a photographer. I think it’s called…..How to be a photographer. if you look up just Dom Bower, you’ll find it. good luck!

I’ve been taking pics since I was very young too. To do a career you do go to college, you can got Doctoral degrees if you want, that’s 12 years of school or more! you can do a BA, regular 4 year. For work most people do publication, that means magazines, advertising, ETC. You can do art photography but it is as hit and miss as any other art. Alot of people do weddings for work and do their art for fun. And with luck they do get their stuff in galleries and get famous.

Most new cameras have the face detection feature. It is a really helpful feature that doesn’t focus on the background, but focus on the person’s face. If you are just looking for taking pictures of people, then you might want to look into that new feature.
